The British Library is delighted to announce a new FutureLearn course entitled Travel Books: History in Europe and Japan which will run from 27 June 2022 for 3 weeks. The course looks at how books travelled between Japan and Europe from the 16th century and how this promoted cultural exchange and influenced individuals and society.
The course is a collaboration between Keio University and the British Library, featuring experts and treasures from both institutions.
The European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS) especially wishes to encourage the participation to its conference of resource specialists and young scholars from institutions with limited financial means or that have seldom or never attended an EAJRS conference. Therefore, with support from the Toshiba International Foundation, the organizers of the 32nd EAJRS conference in Lisbon would like to offer scholarships, which will include:
You might remember that Kinokuniya hosted an online event last July titled ‘The Inside Stories of Japanese Academic Publishing’.
As we received many positive feedbacks from all of you who had attended, we are very happy to inform you that we are doing another one next week!
This time, three academic publishers below will have a discussion with a focus on digital publishing post-covid.
The session will be about 90 minutes in total in Japanese, and the webinar recording will be available to the registrants for one week.

For in-person attendance the conference fee is 40 euro.
For online attendance the conference fee is 20 euro.
